Using Manual Mode

In Manual Mode you control the settings on each shelf for irrigation and lighting schemes. You need to adjust the settings to suit whatever crops you are growing.

From the Home Screen, select a Shelf. You will see the manual Shelf Settings Screen as below

Pump Frequency

This controls how often the pump will activate. The options are:

• Off

• Once Per Day

• Twice Per Day

• 3 Times Per Day

• Every Other Day

• Every Third Day

When the frequency is once per day or less, the pump will activate in the hour before your Sunrise setting. With higher frequency, the pump times are equally spread through the day.

Pump Duration

This controls how long each pump event or "flood" lasts. The settings is in seconds. Use the slider to adjust to your desired duration. 

The maximum is 180 seconds. Take care when choosing long durations for a packed growing tray that your shelf doesn't overflow. 

Note that if Pump Frequency is set to Off, then Pump Duration is set to 0.

Flood Now Button

As well as scheduling recurring irrigation events using the above controls, you can request an ad hoc irrigation by using the Flood Now button. Note, it may take several minutes from when you  request the Flood for the the cabinet to receive the request. 

The lighting settings are made separately for each of the 3 channels of grow lights:

• Deep Red

• Blue

• Far Red

For each channel you can set the Start, Hours and Intensity.

Start

The Start time for each channel is specified as an offset from your Sunrise setting. The setting is in hours. So if your Sunrise is set to 6:00AM then a Start of 2 would mean that lighting channel comes on at 8:00AM.

Hours

This specifies for how many hours you want that lighting channel to be on.

Intensity

This specifies how strong you want that lighting channel to be. The setting can be 0 to 100, with 100 being the maximum power. 

Once you have finished adjusted your desired settings, click the Save Settings button to save your changes.
